Problem these days with regards to the GX2 is that it's 512mb of VRAM simply doesn't cut it

If the op intends to use it on a 19" monitor it shouldn't be that much of an issue eh?

12 months ago? No...it would of been fine but now it's not enough.

Even console ports are getting to the point were they cripple 512mb GPU's.

1440x900 + Decent levels of MSAA = No go for 512mb

And with some new games even running with no MAA at 1440x900 is pushing it.

Also it meens his card will be texture thrashing back and forth with system RAM which creates stuttering and very low 'min' framerates.

yeah i run my games at 1440x900 so VRAM isn't an issue as far as i know not sure why that guy said its as fast as a gtx 260 because my 4870 is faster than 260 and i know for a fact the gx2 is alot faster

i don't use AA accept in half-life 2 and resident evil 4 and 5 so im sure 512MB isnt an issue

and remember it isn't limited to 512MB end of story each gpu has 512MB so it splits the work in half so realistically 1 card does top of screen and second does bottom(just simplistic way to describe)
