Looking to upgrade - socket775..

Thread Starter
For the past couple of years, I've been using the Asus P5Q-E, and it's served me pretty well. I'm looking to upgrade, though, but I'm not exactly sure what to get. The P5Q-E and my E8400 are pretty great overclockers together, so I'm a bit cautious about anything that won't work together so well, but I'm looking for something which has USB3 equipped, Sata6Gbps would be nice but not necessary, and I'm not sure if I should stick to DDR2 or go for DDR3.

Any ideas, chaps?

Second that, check out the Sandy Bridge, 1155 socket, P67 chipset, release date, early January.

Waste of money to upgrade within the 775 socket and I don´t think you going to find any 775 board with USB 3 and SATA 6.

Gigabyte EP45-USB3P mode has USB3 ports and it`s DDR3 mobo..

Don`t think it has SATA3 though..

Honestly your current mobo ROCKS and "upgrade" is not worth it..

CHEERS..

If you really need USB3 or Sata3 both can be bought as PCI-Express cards.

Like i said wait for SB then decide what you want to do. I would move to a cpu/mobo with ddr3 since ddr3 is cheaper than ddr2 now.
