Good Plan - I will do that. Although the chance of selling a £150 purchase for £295 is very tempting.

Limited, apparently, although judging by "Warrenty is with reseller only", I'd say that's not a warrenty with XFX at all
But then - I'm european. You might have better luck elsewhere.

----Some Time Passes----

Ok - I just sent them this:

"I have looked around, and changed my mind.
I've decided that I would like a Radeon 6950 - is there any way you could see to getting me a discount on one? I know it's not on the list, but it would be a better solution than the alternative:

You see otherwise I'll just have to take the 5870 and sell it, using the proceeds to buy a 6950. It'll probably have to be the cheapest one available, and I doubt that would be XFX what with Powercolour's extremely competitive pricings.

After browsing your resellers' sites I have discovered the cheapest new XFX 6850 available is £226.72.
The cheapest available new 6850 is £221.10.

So - unless you can see your way to getting me a decent discount on one of your 6950s, I will purchase one from another company. I may even save myself the hassle of returning my 4890 at all."

I wonder how they'll react. Tbh, they can afford to lose my £150 far more than I can afford to lose £50, so they still have me at an advantage.

----Some More Time Passes----

Hi, thanks for your message and for letting us know. The only cards we can offer at a discount are the models on the list im afraid James. Appologies on this. Hope all goes well, however if any queries or problems please keep us posted. Kind regards Paul

Sigh. So much for getting a better deal or newer card direct from XFX.
