Board for x2 250 and can OC a bit

Thread Starter
My board is gone so I need to find a new motherboard for x2 250 and reuse ddr2 ram. I have a $50 new egg gift card, and I want to keep it under $60 possible so I don’t need to ask my parents. Can you help me pick a motherboard that can push x2 250 to 3.4G or 3.5G so? Thanks.

I am a noob. The Biostar N68S+ says it is a AM2+/AM2 board. X2 250 is am3 chip, right? So it will fit in that board? And what's different between N68S+ and N68S?

Correct, the X2 250 is an AM3.... and yes, it is supported by that board:

N68S+ CPU Support

As for the main differences between them, the "+" board has 2 PCI slots and 4 SATA ports, compared to 1 PCI slot and 2 SATA ports for the non "+" board.
