Is my block moutned bad? - Page 2

Quite the problem you have on your hands.

What's the loop order? Does you pump out go into your res in?

Both your cpu and gpu idle temps are high. I suspect you haven't bled the system enough. Or, you have a bad mount on both the CPU and GPU. It's also possible you have blockage in your loop which is impacting your flow.

Unless I misread, his GPU is not watercooled. In his sig it's a gtx275, you might be confusing that with the 480 rad, or I'm missing something myself.

OP - Your reservoir is above your pump correct? What are you using for thermal paste and for coolant? Have you tried re-seating your block?

His loop: res>pump>rad>block>gpu block>res>etc.

thus; gpu block.

Missed that part. Just made sure it was res > pump. My bad.

I agree with you in saying that both his temps are high. But even so, his cpu block seems way out of the ordinary given his gpu temps, makes me think less of any blockage. He needs to bleed more like you said, and i'd suggest re-seating that cpu block again. Please answer the questions in my previous post also. The more info everyone gets the better!

You're forgetting that GPUs run in 2D mode at idle, so the temp on the GPU block at idle is going to be much lower than the CPU. It is far more likely that he needs to bleed the system or rectify a blockage in the loop than both his CPU and GPU blocks are improperly seated.

Did you clean out your CPU block? Like open it up. Flushing it out isn't the best. Open up the parts and give them a good cleaning and then last rinse should be with distilled h20
