So I have one 6950 (hopefully unlock to a 6970 soon), and im throwing my options around. I mostly play just cause 2 and bfbc2. I am in school and i have had dual monitor setups, and they always help in reports.

I've never thought 2 monitor setups were any good since you're gonna be looking at the black bezel down the middle with the screen being split like that.

I think 3 is the better choice since you have one monitor to view in the middle, just like a normal setup, so you can just do mundane, everyday stuff like web browsing or whatnot, while having amazing widescreen views when you fire up a game and get that extra real estate on both sides.

Derp... I meant buying like two new 25" monitors. OP already has a 27". This way it would be 25-27-25

Why would he want the side monitors to not lineup with the center monitor?

Anyway OP, you need a DisplayPort compatible adapter/monitor for the third monitor.

A single 6950/6970 will not be enough for BC2 in eyefinity.

For eyefinity you really would want 3 monitors that are the exact same, in model and age. The reason the panels may look different, and for me that is an annoyance.

If you are going to go big, do it correctly.

Also, with larger monitors like those you may want to consider getting a second 6950, for gaming at the highest settings, if you aren't med, or lower settings, would work.

Oh I see. haha Sorry for misunderstanding.

Although I think for eyefinity you want to have 3 monitors of the same size (preferably exact same model too) cause I think only certain resolutions are supported and if the sizes are too different then it will look weird and may not be supported.

But all in all, IMO, at least, if you're going eyefinity, (this is to OP), you might as well go all out and get another 6950. Since eyefinity/Nvidia-surround is one of the more high end setups you might as well get out as much fps as you can if you can afford the eyefinity you can afford another 6950.
