Gray Davis. And he wasn't corrupt or stupid. He just had all of the charisma of a lawn chair.

People were tired of our yearly deficit and insane energy prices and Gray Davis was the scapegoat. Nothing changed after he left because Arnold found the job just as difficult. Hopefully we won't have anymore issues now that our budget can be ratified by majority instead of supermajority as it was before. THAT was the main problem.

I love how laws differ between US states. It's kinda cool.

I wish we could just do that nationally. We'd cripple the mexican drug cartels overnight, reduce the billions being sent to prisons AND would be able to redirect our efforts to fighting more harmful drugs.

Also, sales of munches food would increase 5 fold. and there would be no more drunk and disorderly arrests.

I honestly was so upset that that vote didn't pass, would have been a huge step in the right direction.

US has 4% of the worlds population, and 25% of the worlds incarcerated, and 22% of them are in solely on drug charges. Oh and it costs ~23k per inmate every year in a federal prison.

We wonder why we're broke.

all of that info is here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incarce..._United_States

btw, not just pulling numbers out of my ass.

Man, hating on Cali is just the 'in' thing to do, isn't it?! Even when we come up with a good idea. I don't know how a single person can say this law is bad. I've had a few friends be stalked online and have someone copy them and make a new profile.
So many products are known ONLY to the state of California to cause Cancer. That's when I first went hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I think California is.... "different"

It is embarrassing because our government, the laws they put in place, and in most places the culture make me sick.

I'll step up to the plate and say it is. IMO content on the internet should be absolutely, 100% without regulation of any sort by anyone. You should be able to say, post, or otherwise transmit any information you want without fear of attack by some regulatory agency.
