What to save money on?

Thread Starter
Ok guys, so i got one 6870 with my new PC, and when i look at 6970 benchs i just cry, so im going to save money on GPU upgrade, what is the most smart upgrade?

Option 1: Put my 6870 in CFX (no plans for multi-monitor)
Option 2: Get 6890
Option 3: Wait for HD 7xxx series or whatever new from ATI and get it in CFX

the 6800 series is new enough that you wouldnt take much of a loss in selling it....

I would say sell your current gpu and get a 6970...you can always crossfire another with it later

Crossfire your 6870 you will see a much higher performance gain than getting a single 6970.

If you don't already have enough power, I would sell the 6870 and buy a 6970.

This...

a 6890 is not much stronger, no?

I dont think waiting for a new series is usually worth it unless its very close

The general rule is get the best single GPU you can, and then if that is not enough go CF.

Just my personal opinion but i think you should get a 6970. 6870 CF could beat it mind you.
