http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-476-_-Product

the gtx460 is cheaper then the 680 by $10 dollars and the 5870 is the most expensive. I want to know what and why to choose the card

PLEASE DO NOT POST THAT "it overclocks higher" i do not want to overclock!

6970 will give you most performance among the 3.

but on a 1366x768 monitor, 6970 is overkill so get the 6870

Here is the link shown some numbers among them. Just factor in the price. Gving the fact 19" lcd, may look for a GPU in the mid if charts.

At your resolution you'll only need a 6870 or 6850, nothing more.

well this will pretty much be my last upgrade so i want to make it huge, so okay nvm bout the 6950.

between 5870 ( the stronger one) and the 6870 (I guess the one with less shaders but more efficient and bttr tesselation) what would u choose?

edit well chuckles i am leaning over a 5870 more because in raw performance it beats a 6870, i just want to make the best buy here, is a 5870 worth it? and i can aford a 6870 so no 6850 for me, but whT is the BEST buy here?

Depending on how long you will keep it, what you use the rig for and the budget, at that price, you can have a ok 22" lcd and a mid-range GPU such as 5770 or 5830 for a balanced upgrade. we all know 6xxx is very powerful for now, but we all know what it will be few years down the road.
