On another note I'm An Android guy as well, I'm sporting the HTC Evo, Also rooted. With the droid OS you are able to install just any app you want so long as it's compatible with you android v. and your hardware specs.

Android is the only one with a market with a return policy (regretful that it has recently been decreased from 24hours to 15 minutes)

You can install custom roms and Kernels so long as they are available for your device. I have been able to increase my battery life from about 18 hours with the stock battery to roughly 36 with a modified kernel.

As for Palm, BlackBerry, And the Iphone market I can't say anything b/c I've never used them.
Thanks for the info!

I don;t understand this thread. You start by asking if newegg is a good way to upgrade your phone, but every reply seems to be about why they like their phone?

No I just keep editing my first post to reflect new questions so people don't have to sift through the whole thread for it.

Man these data plans are horrible!

The only plan I can afford is ATT's 200meg plan and that sounds like an incredibly small amount of data...

I got my droid eris off newegg last december, SUPER easy.

The one big thing to keep in mind is read the fine print. With mine, if I decreased my level of service, dropped data, basically changed my plan in any way that would result in Verizon getting less money, the 3rd party rebate house would send me a bill for cost of both phones (mine and my fiance's...up to $300 per phone)

Yeah the fine print is what gets you.

It's just kind of obnoxious how much a month extra you end up paying for data.

I'm just a college student presently, I don't earn 300k a year lol...

I may just have to wait till I have the monthly budget to afford one of these

No, literally. As in, given two identical 3.7" phones, one with an 800x480 screen and one with a 1024x600 screen you will not be able to say which one has a higher resolution.
