[Believe3D] 3D TV among the biggest tech failures in 2010 - Page 2

Not to mention manufacturer "3D bluray title exclusives", like Avatar 3D and others. Why would people buy into a technology where they have such limited choice of 3D entertainment?

EDIT:

Of course.

How many people actually use 3D Vision? Out of how many 3D Vision capable cards sold?

I will say this, nvidia 3d vision is insalely awesome on the games that it works well with.

Having played GTA4, Dirt2, Just Cause 2 and some other games in 3d with the red/blue glasses (which anyone with an 8 series or higher GPU can do on any screen) I can say that it is really cool and way more fun and imersive than non 3d. I think video games are sthe best things for 3d TVs. I wouldn't care much about movies or shows in 3d but games are really cool. Often the graphics look much sharper in 3d as well.

This is not shocking or news at all, this was obvious from the start that it was going to fail.

I hate everything 3D even the films, they look blurry and the glasses are so uncomfortible.

It failed because we have a crap economy right now. Do they really think people have the money to buy a 4K dollar tv for some gimmick? I'm sorry but people just had this massive transition to HD-TV and blu-ray players. Hell half the country still doesn't have one of these in their house because they can't afford it.

It was a stupid plan to release these when they did in a market that has no money.

op's probably trying to promote his site.

Also there was a time when big fat 32" CRT television was $4000.

Pricing is not the fail here. These things take time.
