Tripped and tossed my then brand-new X1600 Pro GPU down a flight of stairs onto hardwood. Card still runs to this day!

Plugged in fans, hard drives, optical drives while the system was running (obviously not a system I cared about).

One hot summer, the aircon broke down so I remove the haf x side panel fan and make an eletric fan out of it.

Tried to unplug the computer with it still on. My setup is such that you have to reach over and behind the case to get to the cords. Well I had the power cable half way out of the strip and somehow my fingers made contact with the (still energized) prongs and my chin made contact the with the top of the case. The results were...predictable.

I used to "bake" cheez-its on the anodized back plate of my old MSI Ti 4200-VTD8X.

I didn't necessarily do this but my buddy did. I just got done fixing his $5k plus Alienware as well as case swapping for him. A week or so later he came down with food poisoning and wound up throwing up water and such into the top fan bays into the computer. He never cleaned it all up so its caked on to his new gtx 480

But other than that...I live in Alberta Canada, I setup my 3 different machines around my house...and moved my one keyboard, mouse and monitor around with them...set them all up seperately to fold...then let them heat my house (Q6600@3.4Ghz SLI 8800GTX one machine, i7 920@ 3.7Ghz SLI GTX 260's second machine, i7 950 @ 4.2 Ghz Crossfired 5870's third machine) I totally didn't turn my heater on ALL day...and Folded for Alzheimers! VERY COST EFFECTIVE PRODUCTIVE DAY!

Took it on an 8-hour trip (changing trains 3 times) to my aunt's place just so I could play some games over the holidays... And put it the Megahalems I knew I was gonna get for Christmas. Everybody agreed I was insane.

I'm seriously not trolling here, K?
I ran my P4 2.8GHz for a few months before realizing one of the pins was bent and wasn't totally in, therefore causing unexpected (or rather, expected) shutdowns.
There was this other time when I ran my other P4 2.4GHz without a heatsink. That happens quite common on this thread, but I was putting 1.9v into the thing. At least I only ran CS and nothing else...
