Which Antec psu do you have?
But it should work, but i think that the gts450 physx would be too much.

i would advise against it; 550 is pushing it even w your current setup. Try this-put your whole computer under full load and put your hand near the exhaust of the psu. if its hot you should upgrade asap.

Pushing it? With a 3450? He's barely pulling 150W under maximum load, are you daft?

And hot exhaust is not a sign of an overworked power supply. An 80% efficient 500W power supply has to exhaust 125W of heat, if the exhaust isn't hot then the PSU fan isn't doing its job.

With the upgrades he's listed he'll be fine, though I would very much advise against the PhysX card. With just the 570 he should be ok as long as he isn't benching 24/7 or something. Just gaming and browsing he should get years of service out of the unit.

Yeah, the GTX570 will be fine. If you want a PhysX card though you'll need an upgrade.
