Here is a good comparison of how they would compare to each other (you should only consider the bottom bar);
So it would go;
For a single GPU:
275 GTX< 460 GTX < 465 GTX < 6850 Radeon < 6870 Radeon ~ 470 GTX< 6950 Radeon < 570 GTX
And for double GPU;
275 SLI < 460 SLI < 465 SLI < 6850 Xfire < 470 SLI < 6870 Xfire < 6950 Xfire < 570 SLI
Also, with a good overclocking, I get 30500 on this bench (GPU score) and so my 6870 Xfire config beats a stock 480 SLI config and is actually pretty close to a stock 570 SLI.
So, as I said before, I recommend a 570 GTX
, however, if you think that it costs too much, the Radeon 6870
would seem golden, especially in a Crossfire set-up. And the 6870 scales much better than the nVidia 4xx series.
Also, I think the 6970 is overpriced, so you should ignore it, and the 6950 is around the same price range as the 570 GTX, which is a much stronger card and so it should also be ignored.Edited by born2bwild - 1/3/11 at 5:25am
