VGA all-in-one coolers

Thread Starter
So have they just died out? I was browsing around and stumbled on the Thermaltake all in one vga cooler and thought, " hey thats pretty niffty" but cant find any others out that support any newer higher wattage cards.

That's because all-in-one units don't cool worth a darn for GPUs. See the Omni A.L.C unit from CoolIT Systems, which supports GTX 480/70, HD5870 and 5970: Not only does it cost $150+ (if you can even find it), it also stinks. All the reviews I've seen put its cooling performance advantage over stock cooling in the mere single digits.

In addition, a product like this just doesn't have the same upgradability as say, a CPU all-in-one system, because its very easy to make a new bracket for some new socket. EDIT: Nevermind I guess; the Omni has "swappable low-cost customized interposer plates"

agreed^

IMO all "all in one" units suck, at least compared to a custom setup loop. they do have there place, but only cpu setups.

I can't stop laughing at this.

It's like stock cooling except less efficient and louder. XD
