k so the install gets about half way threw then says this

data error cyclic redundancy check now i did scan disk and it says that i have no problems so im not really sure what else to do?

the laptop is a toshiba satellite l305-s5865 now im not sure that that matters for that question but for the next one it will

the laptop came with duo 1.8 im looking around and trying to find what i can get to upgrade the processor. what ive found is that it is a p socket this is what i found on the socket its self mPGA478MN. now in reading up ive found that some processor upgrades have the same pin number but wont work with my board can anyone help me find a faster processor for my laptop. looking for something in the 2.5 range

um...resident evil 4 oblivion?

EDIT: and just from common computery knowledge, installing laptop parts is much, much, much more difficult than installing desktop parts. and in a lot of cases isnt possible because the CPU is soldered into the motherboard.

You might be able to support the T5xxx and T7xxx series CPUs. I would go Toshiba forums of notebookreview.com for info specific to your laptop as far as possible BIOS updates and such. You may even find a Toshiba specific how to for the CPU upgrade.

You don't really expect to run Oblivion on Intel graphics, do you? Maybe RE4... maybe.
