But the static pressure sucks, which is most important for a rad.

They're nice case fans though.

Not likely. Nidec Servo's ratings are accurate, since they sell for industrial applications and NEED to be accurate as a result. Cooler Master's ratings are questionable.

Their dBA ratings are at MINIMUM RPM. Max RPM dBA is in the low- to mid-30s.

This is because they're cheap to produce and use cheap bearings. About 60% or so of the time, you get what you pay for with fans. The other 40% consists of Noctuas, Triebwerks, SilenXes, some of the less impressive Noiseblockers, the non-"golfball" Sharkoons, and some Papst and Delta models.

This is why I test fans (see item 1 in my sig) and why Martinm210 tests fans (here, for example). More to the point: Martinm210 tests fans on rads.

Thread Starter
i went and picked up the last 2 they had in stock and really glad i did! i'm getting 10c - 15c difference! (check temp right after game) they're noisy, but who the hell cares. i live near an airport & now i don't have to hear the jet planes taking off and landing while i'm playing quake live....hehehehheehhee

p.s.
if anyone gets these fans for a h70, be prepared to either buy screws that fit (fan is 38mm wide) or cut the corsair screws (which is what i did) so you can mount from the inside of fan frame.

What kind of screws would you need for a 38mm wide fans and where would you get them online?

Are they still using 6-32's? If so, you can buy them at your local hardware store.
