Can't decide on case for high performance HTPC!

Thread Starter
Yeah. I recently got an hdtv and my pc has taken up residence on its entertainment center. Like literally I just turned the tower on its side and put it up there. Needless to say, it's a huge eyesore. I wanted something more streamlined, with sideways (HTPC) style drive bays and front panel IO.

I would like it to be full atx, need not come with psu.

I need it to fit 2 full size gpus for future-proofing. Also 3-4 3.5 bays.

I've already looked at a couple and read reviews of the bigger htpc cases. I'd just like some input from anyone who knows of a semi-large htpc case.

Thanks!

Full-ATX and two video cards? That's not a semi-large HTPC... that's a huge one. wink.gif

Budget? Color preference?
Once again...

I prefer black or brushed silver, and not more than $250. Actually I'm hoping for much lower than that.

Thanks for the fast reply!

Silverstone and lian Li both make cases that fit your criteria and are well below your budget. The issue I see with the Silverstone is that if you needed a wireless dongle for keyboard/mouse in the front USB port for any reason the fold down tray would need to be down otherwise it has a cleaner look to it.

I have the LC10B-E
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163118

You could take out the middle HDD cage if your gpu's are long and still have 3 HDD slots in the second cage and one convertible 5" slot above the CDROM spot.

You know it's a large case, but you'd really like the NZXT Zero (not Zero 2). It's got plenty of HDD bays, and the super nice thing about it is, it has dust filters, and 8 fans, 4 of which are on the side blowing directly inside - keeps the inside temps nice and cool. Plus the fans are included and are SILENT.

You need the Lian Li PC-33B. This will fit everything the best. It is a very long case though... I don't think you need two GPU's for future proofing... at best, one really good one maybe.
