Overclocking Log?

Thread Starter
Hey all. Are there any threads logging OC configurations and performance results? I did a quick search and came up dry, though I swear I saw something along those lines the other day...

I'm learning to overclock my i7-920 and want to keep a log in an excel file. The idea is that in the end I can plot benchmark performances against certain variables, ceteris paribus.

Thanks.

Hey Willanhanyard, do you havea build log for your rig? I'd like to see how you arrived at such a fast OC w/ so low a voltage. I'm at 2.3V to run at 4.1GHz. It has been very stable, but runs a little hot.

There's no secret to it, really. At 4.1ghz, its pretty much straight forward, some chips just need more voltage. About the only thing that could make a difference is if you're using the 20x multi instead of 21, as i7s hate even multis.

errrr be carfull man. What do you have set at 2.3v not your vcore because you would have fried it and if its your pll or vtt you will be seing smoke soon too. You should be able to get to around 4.2 with everything on auto exept your vcore. Start at 1.3 and see how far you can get. Watch your temps any thing above 70ish load is a no go for 24/7 use.
