Laptop + SSD project

Thread Starter
So here is what I want to do. I want to get a small but powerful laptop and then put a SSD into it. Then I'm putting my own version of windows 7 ultimate on it.

Requirements

Processor: i3-i5
Ram: 4GB DDR3
GPU: Nvidia 410 or better
Battery: 8 Cell

Screen size: 13 or 14 inch
Ergonomics: Ultra-thin/ultra-portable

I'm also hoping to do all of this for 1000 or less.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Are you looking to game on this laptop?

It would be a very good idea to wait on this purchase until Lenovo/Dell refresh their lines with Sandy Bridge chips. The Lenovo Thinkpad Edge or "T" series should give you what you are looking for once they are refreshed. Personally I would go for the T410 (or what ever they call the refresh), a 14" model, or the x201 refresh (a nice 12.1" laptop) though the later might be close to the top range of your budget.
