I got a noob question but with what button does the man tackle? Hmm not the sliding tackle but how does it take away the ball?

in the other fifa games it was Square to slide tackle and Circle to tackle them normally.. you have to be pretty close though. if you hold down Circle one of your players will automatically try to tackle the opposition (auto defence)

I think it was E. Just start pressing them all before a match or something and you should figure it out though.

Isn't slide tackle the same button as 'long pass' and normal tackle the same button as 'short pass'?

Yea, looking at your screenshot, it looks like it's trying to map a 360 controller.

Holding down the A equivalent button will get your man to stick on the opponent with the ball really tight. You have to kinda move your guy the right direction in order to take it.

Holding down the B equivalent calls for a doubleteam.
