3.Upgrade CPU block (PAGE 3)DONE
-
4.Sleeve the cables RED,BLACK,WHITE. DONE WITH Extentions
-
5. Upgrade all Barbs to Compression Fittings(or at least all i could afford)DONE
-
6.Switch res to EK 250mm Cyclinder
-
7. Powder Coat the case the same color as its now, i just hate scratching the case all the timeDONE
-
8. Make All new cables for PSU(custom lenght and sleeved)

I will try to get as much done before i leave to CES on Wed.
HERE IS WHAT THE CASE LOOKS LIKE NOW(((BEFORE MODDING))))
yes this never ending project hit my pockets pretty hard, but fortunately a couple of month ago i got a job that pays me what i wanted to get paid for a long time, so i have been buying all the things i never had when i was younger.
but if i was not married, u can trust me i would have quad sli and all
ahahahha
You want about as much as a large pea. The goal is so that when you later remove the heatsink you should see TIM covering most of the IHS is a layer that is so thin you can see right through it.
As been stated should pretty much be transparent to the eye when
applied and compressed.
Alot of ways to apply but pea size is pretty much all you need.
I use the pea size method and then spread with a plastic sharp edge
object, credit card works good if nothing else available.
When done, smooth and just about transparent to the eye.
Clean up along edges when done so doesn't lap on the sides.
Do this with GPU cards also. New or used.
not true you need to make an x on the ek blocks there special
ahaha yeah i saw tht.
i was wondering does it really raise the temps if u put more tim on?
Some pictures before taking apart:
So on top instead of that big fan im going to cut our the plastik and sink in the 240mm rad, and get the same mesh and rap it the same way the fan is now, Should look pretty nice
Also thought i would share some pics of my new MOBo, that will be going under water later, because i need to run something for now, i hate laptops
And Now the fun part
GTX470 going under WATER
And for today, i thought i would share what im runing now while my case is getting chopeed
hey guys i have an update, i started cable sleeving today, i got 3 cables done, but to tell u the troth the antec powersupply that i have is alsomt impossible to take the pins out of so i think im just going to do the extensions for now and all the fans and stuff like that, a long way to go but here is an update.
p.s. Heat GUn is a must when u are sleeving, 24.99 at lowes
Quick question: I've seen this type of thing before, how do you go abou tmaking your harddrive "transparent" - so I can see it spinning?
actually its the very first WD Raptor 150gb, thats how they made them, its ashame they are now discontinued
but i didnt mod that, but i rememver a thread on how to change the top plate, its very hard and u have to be very carefull, i would no recomend you doing that.
if u want for show i would just find a used raptor drive on here or ebay or something
my 2 pence having the Block that tight down is a disaster waiting to happen could create a hairline crack in the board , Its happened to me before now
