lol micro center prices.

The i7 920/930/950 have all filled the $300 slot.

For those of us not near a MC: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-211-_-Product

I also love how you took a sale price of the 950 at MC, but used some unknown location pricing for the 2600k, which is $280 at MC.

For those of us with access to RE you could get the 970 for $215.

Which price should we use?

Hello all ,

i read all the threads and frankly speaking i got more confused.

its true who owns the 1366 shouldn't go and buy SB because its a waste of money but for those who own a socket 775 what was the suggestion?

For a guy like me who plays games like COD , internet, watching movies i don't know what to choose. its a really nightmare decision because in the end of the road you want to make sure you choose a pc who has a technology for the years to come and not for one year and then buy a new one.

suggestions?

I was looking at a microcenter ad the other day and I could have sworn I saw a 2600k for 350.
Well I stand corrected.
i7 950 is still $200 at MC though.

4000 points higher than ---->>>

$220 chip vs $900 chip + $680 to you.

GTX 470 $220 vs 2 gtx 570 $710

$1200 for 4000 points? Next time you go shopping let me know, I'll help you.

Thanks for showing how superior 1155 is though, value to performance, nothing else Intel has can match it.

Edit: We'll call it even if you disable 1 video card, 8 threads, and 2 cores. See what you get then.

Hello mate!
If you are on a 775 platform with a regular chip, you could wait for 2011 platform or go 1155 if you're on a budget or if you cant wait.

for COD and FPS, websurf and movies, a nice graphics card will do the job", if you like AMD, the 6970 sound good, if you prefer Nvidia, go for the GTX570.

show us your rig specs so we could help you better!!

Hey ,
Well here my spec :

Cpu- Intel E6600 2.4 ghz
MOB- Asus p5n-e sli
GPU- Zotac gtx 260
Memory- 4 gb kingston
hard drive- 500 gb WD black Sata 2
OS- windows 7 pro 32 bit

tell you the trouts there is no end to the technology and for the competition.

i have this computer for 5 years and untill right now all the games ran perfectly, but now its very old and the games dont go well.

i read about the 1155 and the cpu's and they give a good performance for the money but also the 1366

the only thing giving me to 1155 is 1366 will be changed to 2011 and the 1155 will stay...

suggestion?
