They are still releasing new hardware & cpus for 1366, by their thinking the sandy bridge cpus they're so happy with now will be obsolete the day sb-e or ivy bridge comes out.

This is true! If I was going to upgrade my sig rig, I would be buying a 970, but I do a lot of video converting, and the 12 threads would be a great benefit!

A 200$ chip with a gpu that can handle 720p is amazing I think, and that reason alone sb chips win over 1366 mainly in the HTPC market and entry level pcs.

Damn Jan thread sorry.

Well, not everybody jacks off to benchmarks. I don't see a reason to upgrade if your i7 suits you well.

edit: didn't realize how old this thread is

Bottom line - if you are already a 1366 i7 owner it's absolutely pointless and a waste of money to go to 1155 which wouldn't even be an actual upgrade.
If you're building a new system of course go with the 1155.

I'm still using 1155 and I'm really happy with it. I think 1336 is just waste of money. 1336 is actually nothing new, over date cake with fresh apple mousse
