WHS audio issues

Thread Starter
Hi all, this is my first time using WHS and I can't for the life of me get the audio drivers to work. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if ASUS just has crappy onboard audio drivers for WHS. I had audio working while it was running windows 7, but not after the format to WHS.

No, mind you I am not directly hooked up to this server I am remoting in, but no matter what I set the sound settings to on the RDP it doesn't change. All I get is the following:

Anyone that can give me a little insight on this would be awesome!

In my case the XP drivers worked, my board didn't even have Server drivers (any server). I installed the drivers and the "sound" service was activated by the driver (by default sound is deactivated in WHS).
Check if the sound is activated in the services (start/run/services.msc). Other than hat you could try to install other drivers, because from the screen you've posted it doesn't look like there is any working sound driver.
