(Baking) That was close..

So I'm about to bake a gigabyte motherboard that I got off Manyak for $5 and just as I'm about to put it into the oven I realize that the CMOS battery was still on. :O

Back to relevance, I'm baking it at 285F for 10 min. How long should I let it cool down afterwards?

First bake got me to where the CPU and AUX fans spun up for 3 seconds when the power button was pushed. Now it's going back into the oven for another 10 min at 285. I hope I see a trend with this, maybe I'll eventually get It to the windows bootloader

Nice. I hope everything works out. Wait for 20 minutes after you bake.

Second round was a nogo again. I'll leave my system how it is and hope that it works fine in the morning

Tomorrow I'll bake it again.

You might not be baking it long enough or Perhaps its not baking at a high enough of a temperature.

try baking it for like 25 minutes

leave it to cool..then try

if that dosent work.. then try like. 320deg for 15 mins

If any of the bumps that connect to a chip the the board are broken, tossing it in the oven will heat up the solder and reconnect/bond the chip to the board.

If you put some mushrooms+onions+cheese on it you got some funky pizza like mobo!
No seriously, i dont think if you kick your mobo around or stuff like that
baking is neccesary, but it`s the last act of trying to save it`s life.
