Baking 4890, How does it work?

Hi people,

Well I've got a 4890 that artifacts , I was just going to leave it in the closet after XFX declined the RMA. How does baking work and how should i do it.

I wouldn't mind a bit of baking action

Why did xfx decline the rma, the usually don't...

no dont do that!,did u overclock it at all? how long have u had it? if u overclocked underclock it to stock ,if u had it for a while underclock it below its stock settings or just get a new gfx card

The card , is artifacting and there was never an overclock, It only worked for a day, Thanks anyway

Oh forgot to share my baking experinece.... I bake the cards at 200-220°C up to 12 minutes (you basically have to smell the solder if you don't you didn't heat it up enough), so far I revived two 9800gtx's but failed to bring the gtx275 back to life

the dvi ports will be fine as long as you don't bake it long enough to melt them.
