Baking 4890, How does it work? - Page 2

Nothing really DVI ports can stand up to 250°C without warping but the svideo port will start warping and melting at around 245°C...at least on GTX 275 that was my sacrifice after it refused to work. The funny thing was that it was still artifacting even after the bake for 14 minutes at 250 so temps didn't kill it

i bake me stuff just under the needed temp cause the oven's temp knob isn't too accurate. make sure to take all the stuff off including the plate screwed to the dvi ports.
the plastic won't be bothered at all. however capacitors and can bulge and in that case need to be replaced witch is usually easy. go easy on the temps and bake time i'd start just a tad lower than recommenced to be safe so stuff doesn't fall off.

I assume the card is perfectly clean and the temps aren't high?

Nah don't need too (I never did) just make sure the oven is preheated and the card is level so you won't loose any connections inside

Aluminium foil? Marinade the card in garlic powder, lemon juice and chopped garlic first. Don't forget to do some roast or jacket potatoes, steamed veg and stuffing with it
