Identifying identical hard drives in windows

So I just bought a second 1.5TB WD Caviar green because I've filled up my first one. The problem I've run into is now that it's in my case I'm not sure which one I need to format they both come up as WD15EARS followed by a serial number. is there a way to identify which drive is which without having to take one out of the case and read the serial number?

In control panel under system and security / administrative tools / computer management look for storage / disk management. This will list all your drives. Right click either one of your WD drives and click on properties. The one that shows that it is mostly used with no free space is the one you don't want to format, The other one should show as either being unallocated or with all it's available space free.
