to the OP. those boards are really horrible. i had one and i am currently ocing my p5e3 pro and i had to put the voltages way up to get it stable. my N.B is at 1.5 volt and cpu is at 1.4 vot. my ran is supper hig for ddr3. but on the p5q board i had i had to really red line all the voltages to get it stable. i think there is a bropblem with the bios revisions for those mobo's.

also i had huge sticky temps and the voltages where not even correct on the bios mobo. it would say 1.4 volts but if u actualy tested it it was at 1.36 volts on cpu..... so the bios revisions are a little out and asus need to redo the bios settings and maps etc...

I think I may have found the correct settings.

1.32v vcore in bios LLC on 1.3v in windows
1.39v NB (this is @ 1.65v in windows on auto )
1.54v PLL
1.30 FSB Term (VTT)
.63x CPU GTL ref (I only have one )
.67x NB GTL ref
2.06v Dram (my board overvolts the bios setting by 40mV)



Before, with varying voltages on the NB at .63x I would boot into windows fine, and fail on anywhere from 2 to 3 cores immediately upon starting blend.
Im now on my third test with no errors so far, heres to crossing my fingers

Good luck! Mine would fail at start up or fail after 10 mins.

Run:

FSB freq=450MHz
vNB=1.30V
vPLL=1.54V
CPU GTL (both)=0.65x
vFSB=1.26V

When running P95 LARGE FFT do it with 6x CPU multiplier so you don`t have to worry about effect of Vcore.

If some of your worker fails just upp CPU GTL voltage for that core ad test again..

Default actual CPU GTL voltage by Intel is 1.10vFSB x 0.67= 0.737V..

Q9550 when OC`d over 440MHz FSB likes GTL voltage in between 0.790V - 0.830V..

Tuning GTL`s is a matter of trial and error..

After (if) you pass P95 reoot to BIOS and upp CPU multi to 8.5 and upp Vcore and test it with Intel Burn Test 20 runs with max RAM..

failed 11 minutes on worker #3 last round, upped VTT by .02v and im now running blend, and im 30 minutes in with no errors. I think I may have isolated the issue, however my core temps are running at 70c, but Ill get over it lol.

I just upped my NB to 1.4v, passed the first set of tests of large fft (17 mins) no error. Yey! Too lazy to test anymore so I'll leave it at that.
