[jonnyGURU] Corsair CX430 PSU Review - Page 3

There's no DSA-II 380w, there's a DSA-II 400w with the same rating's as the Corsair, so it's over-rated by Corsair by 30w.

Though that doesn't mean that it isn't already over-rated. While we can only call it a 380w PSU; it's still technically a DSA-II 400.
Though it seems only one of the newer DSA-II units is not over-rated, and that's the DSA-II 350w which has 25a on the 12v rail for 300w 12v capacity.

The other DSA-II units (which the CX500 & CX600 are based on) are all over-rated by a good margin.

I'm happy for all the people who picked this up for $15-$20 over the holidays. Now they don't have to worry about it blowing up.

Not immediately, anyway. Samxon caps aren't the best quality.
(But they're not the worst either.)

A 400W PSU should have +12V rating of 30A
A 430W PSU should have a +12V rating of 32A

A +12V rating of 28A makes it a 380W.

Only if you're putting it in a new machine Phaedrus. For powering an older 3.3/5v heavy rig, this is about the best you can buy.

No, because on the Crossloading we see this unit does terrible.
And it doesn't have the wattage for a 5v heavy system.

EDIT: Also, ATX12v spec came out Almost 11 years ago (in February) we have been on 12v main systems for FAR to long for that to be even a close to relevant statement.

Even so; many later generation AMD Athlon XP systems used ATX12v motherboards with 4pin P4 connectors.
