Both the 450 and 460 look good, but which one should i get?

Thanks,

Are there any significant advantages to the 460 over the 450?

The 460 is much faster than a 450

The GTX 460 1gb is faster than a 5830, only slightly slower than a 5850. The 450 is a little faster than a GTS 250 and is slightly slower than a 5770

the gtx460 has higher PSU requirements (Watts and Ampers). If you already own a less powerfull psu (minimum 22 A), then opt for the 450GS instead (requirements 400 Watt minimum and 22A). Or else for the GTX (450 Watt minimum and 30A I think). Of course the GTS works in my PSU too (18A) but I do not plan to play HD games anyway or overclock it.

Get the gtx460 for sure you will notice a performance boost over the 450. Just think of the 450 as a down graded 460.

Thanks for the replies.

Current PSU is 430 watt, so i'd need a new PSU for the 460.

What about the 460 768mb version? Go for the 460 1gb instead?

460 1gb version would be the best choice for the best performance.

seasonic ok
corsair ok

768 is fine but at higher res it starts to lagg behind
1gb version will last longer and give better results
