Looking to buy a Cooler Master HAF X soon. Questions.

What would be the best fans for:

1. Using my H50 exhausting out the back of the case (push pull) The included fan is 140mm while the H50 uses 120mm fans
2. The extra top 200mm fan. (And should I use it as an exhaust as well or an intake?)

I plan on using this for a while until I upgrade my other components and upgrade to a full on water cooled PC. I'm sick of my cramped space, dusty, no cable management in my Antec 900. So this is a late Christmas gift to myself

Thx in advance.

for 1, your going to need to take that 140 off unless you have an adapter that will all you to attach the h50 to it. as for fans to use on it, i just use the stock fans (had an h50, using an h70 for now). but i guess gentle typhoons might work good, i've seen pics of people use them.

for 2, it wouldn't say its necessary, but i think it evens the air flow

there is a 230mm in the front intake, a 200 mm on the side intake, and only one 200 mm outtake on the top, then you have your h50, i'd get it, to even out the air flow. but i didn't get much of an impact on temps.

Yeah, I'm gonna take the back 140 off because of the H50. I'm currently using the stock fan + back exhaust on the 900 for a push/pull. I just want new fans and I want them to be the same. Plus reselling a 900 without a back exhaust fan would suck lol

yeah, i love my haf x, it was really quiet before i had to put 70 mm fans on my 470 because my stock fans broke. i need to get ahold of MSI to see if they can send me some normal ones, because the 70 mm's are smaller with higher rpm's and its ridiculously loud now, but i loved it when i was running my 260 in it. i think you'll like it.

Thanks, also I was only wondering for the top fan cause there is an extra slot and wouldn't want it to go to waste

I've been recommended these for my 120mm.

bonus points because they are a lot cheaper and in stock. What do y'all think about these?

yeah i do too, but i've got it connected to a lamptron fan controller, its the one that has the switches and not the knobs, so i can turn it on and off when i want, but i don't really turn it off, the only thing i really use that switch for is to turn the 50 mm fan i have on the northbridge on and off.

edit: didn't see your other post, yeah i've heard of yate loons too, they would be pretty good. you should also think about making shrouds to go between your fans and the radiator.

Didn't see your edit lol. I think I'll make some shrouds and get the Yate loons. Thank you

Why buy the HAF X? Buy the 932! Then you can mount 4 120mm fans on the side panel!

ewww, that would make it really loud , not really, it'd make it louder then a single 200 mm fan though, and take more time to clean, but that would work too.
