Problem with second HDD -> WHY?

Thread Starter
Hi everybody. I have got a problem with my second HDD.

My first HDD is Seagate Barracuda 7200.10, 250GB, 16MB buffer size, SATA II
I bought new HDD Samsung HD103SJ 1TB, 32MB buffer size 7200RPM, SATA II

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit installed on first HDD. When I bought Samsung HDD, I have formated it. My problem is, that my PC makes weird noise. I know it´s because of HDD but I don´t know which it is. When I unplugged Samsung HDD, weird noise has disappeared. When I unplugged Seagate HDD, weird noise has disappeared. This problem appears when both HDDs are plugged in. It makes weird noise, something like "meow" or "wou". It makes in one second intervals. I guess it causes, that my pc freezes. I have scanned Samsung HDD with ESTool and the result is no errors. I didn´t scanned Seagate HDD because it worked fine, when I hadn´t Samsung HDD.

Where could be the weird noise problem?

First instinct - Power supply
Second instinct - Motherboard

whine noises are mostly likely caused by cheap capacitors, so either one can be your culprit. But my money is on psu

welcome to OCN, please fill in your system specs so people can better assist you. You can do so under user CP

Isolate the source of the sound.

Trick: use a cardboard tube (like the center of a paper towel) placed against your ear to help isolate sound.
Once again...
