Ati mythbusters overclocking drivers

Thread Starter
So, it's been an interesting ride down the ati overclocking lane lol

As the title says, this thread is about mythbusters for drivers and over clocking

its a myth saying that any driver is better than the next for overclocking..
or is it ?

lets find out the truth....

This first post will be updated, as tested proven info is found

Mythbusted-ati5850 10.10-10.12
There is no difference in overclocking found between these 2 drivers
Tested by me

Myself, I find issues with the following testing

I can over clock my card, 5850 sapphire, non ref card
To 925 core
using 1.090v

thats a 200 MHz core overclock using any driver pretty much.

Tested this on 10.5

also tested this on 10.10 now 10.12.

With the same results above

Now with 10.12 and 10.10 I find same issues

I have raise my card voltage, to 1300 says trixx overclocking program

Gpuz confirms its 1.3v being ran though my card.

Why should i have to raise the v so high, for a meesley 25 MHz
Seems lame to me.

But I'm stubborn so, I figure screw it, if I can't volt it to death, let's raise the number

i changed it to 960 ...no more issues..i hit a block hole somehow or something.
1300 is my max v in trixx overclocking program

I tested 1 hr ooct burn passed

Does anyone have anything to share?

From cat 10.10 to Cat 10.12 all 3 drivers are overclocker friendly from what I can see. Man, I miss ATI Tool . Even if you didn't know how to tweak the IC sub timining you could see if it changed.
