temps way too high

Thread Starter
yesterday i installed a hyper n520 (rear exhaust, is how i installed this) in my lanboy air along with 4 other 120mm wind 12 fans. all fans are intake but the rear exhausted. i have a total of 11 120mm fans (pretty quiet considering).

so i go into realtemp with my tjxmax set at 95 for the quad core and i am idling 50c and when i initially start prime95 they skyrocket to well into the 90's.

vcrore is 1.228 while oc'd to 3.825

am i missing something? am i doing something wrong. open to any and all suggestions please.

Think your voltage is too low actually. Should be somewhere closer to 1.3125 if possible on your motherboard. Also, are both fans exhausting, try a push pull fan install? What kind of thermal paste do you use and how did you apply it.

sounds like your cpu cooler isn't cutting it. Are you graphics card temps fine? If so, try reapplying thermal paste on your processor and reseating your heatsink

Wont matter how many intake fans you have if you only have 1 fan exhausting the hot air.

Set your fans at the top and reaer of the case to exhaust. Fans at the Front, side and bottom to intake.

the hyper is brand new... i just took the whole smash apart and reinstalled it cpu fan to see that fan was not sitting evenly do to the granky hardware that cooler master sent with it. my voltages are fine sir. i am very stable with 3.825 at 1.228. i prime tested for over 10 hours.

anyways after the install realtemp is now showing a 31C idle thats more like it. operator errorr sorry gentlemen but thank you for thoughts.

does anyone have any experience with the lanboy air and the best air flow setup? i am currnelty using a high positivie pressure.

i dont have the lanboy myself, but my case has plenty of fans.

3 big 200mm i think, 4 high speed yate loons, 1 120mm cm, 1 scythe slipstream and a random fan for drive bay intake.

as default, the side panel 200mm, front 200mm were intake while the back 120mm, and top 200mm. this air pressure was somewhat even, load temps were stable and the fans had enough power to exhaust the hot air.

on the other hand, i bought 4 high speed yates and moved a few fans around.

now it's just 7 fans for intake and only 1 for exhaust. the idle temps dropped like 7-9 celsius, but when the load temps come up and i turn the fans up, there's not enough exhausting power to keep the load temps stable.

for your lanboy, maybe try back and top fans as exhaust or top as intake and side panel as exhaust.
