case mod question.

Thread Starter
might be a stupid question, is it possible to put a 230mm fan into this side of this case?

http://cmstore.coolermaster-usa.com/...roducts_id=283

if so is it hard? does anyone on this site offer this service?

If there is 230mm of room on that side panel, you can do whatever you want. Doesnt seem like it would be too hard to do. Find your center, draw a line 115mm radius about that point, mark your screw mounts, score/dremal/drill/remove the material. Screw in fan.

Yes it is possible, easy no.
230mm is big. I use hole saws to cut all my holes, Iv never seen a hole saw that big. so this means you need to cut the hole either with a jig saw, roto jip, or a dremel. It will be hard to get a clean cut like that. I would personally use a jig saw, but if you are inexperienced it will be easy to crack the acrylic.

Know what would be cool, is to find a local company with with a CNC or a C02 laser, that will make the cut for you. you then can even put a cut out design where the whole is say for example the CM logo.
