PPD on the PS3

So I decided in addition to my sig rig folding...I decided to get my PS3 folding...How many PPD have people been seeing from the PS3 folding??

Less than 1k IIRC. You can set it to automatically start up when the PS3 is idle, so it may be worth doing if you're not worried about the power draw (which isn't horrendous, but it's not amazing).

Yeah, each WU is about 200-500 points, but they just take forever to complete.

I can answer this one.

Most WUs are worth 251pts or 247pts... and each WU takes a little under 6hours. Basically, you get 4/5 WUs done a day, so 1k-1.2k on average.

However, once in a while you'll get a very big WU, which takes 30hrs to complete, yet is only worth 250pts. It's not common, but you do get sometimes; just in case you think it's taking a long time. It'll have the (quite apt) code name of "supervillin".

The power -> PPD ratio is pretty poor by nowadays standards, like it's been mentioned they get around 900-1K PPD. If you've got one you might as well use it though, every little helps
