This is the product that I am looking atm, it has better timings but the same capacity.
that set of RAM is much better.

bulldozer has been talked about for ever. intel actually has a product going on the shelves, and its a really good product. there is no date for bulldozer, and why would you tell someone to wait for a product for which no one has any information about?

the 2600k will be a great CPU

this should be attainable, judging from what we have seen from the SB reviews.

Thanks, my build now looks like this:

CPU: i7 - 2600k

MoBo: Asus P67 Pro

RAM: G Skill Ripjaw 2x2GB (7-8-7 1600 Mhz)

GPU: EVGA GTX 570

HDD: WD Caviar Black 640GB

Optical Drive: Asus Optical Drive

PSU: XFX Black Edition 850W (same price so why not, more W and better quality)

Case: NZXT Lexa S

Cooling: Megahalem Rev. B

Fans: Yate Loon D12SL-12 x3 (two for CPU cooler + 1 for Case)

I am happy with this setup, still waiting for reviews on MoBo but you really can't go wrong with Asus/Gigabyte.

Oh, I am also going to pick up a Razer BlackWidow.

looks like a great build, that should destroy just about everything.

the XFX PSU is a great one also, looks to be built off the same platform as the seasonic and corsair 850w units. ive seen great things from those PSUs, shouldnt have an issue with your system or SLI in the future.

I decided to upgrade my ram to 8GB and I narrow it down to 2 choices,

which one should I go with (they are the same price after price matching):

Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 Vengeance 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL8-8-8-24 Dual Channel Memory Kit

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=57077

vs.

G.SKILL F3-12800CL7D-8GBRH Ripjaws PC3-12800 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL7-8-7-24 1.6V Memory Kit

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=55620

Does the lower voltage advantage on the Corsair Vengeance outweigh the benefits of the lower CL of the G Skill?

Thanks, you guys have been a huge help so far.

The release of Bulldozer is to be sometime in April 2011, and yes AMD has released information concerning the Bulldozer architecture.

everyone seems to be going with 8gb of ram for some reason as of late. 4gb is plenty. i woulld save your money and put it somewhere else in your computer.

if you still want to get the unnecessary extra ram, go with a 2x4 kit imho, like the ones above. and out of the 2, i would definately pick the one with better timings/CAS.

it all says sometime in 2011. i dont see anything more specific than that.

the reduction in redundancy should be nice, but we wont know if it will compete with SB till they actually have an engineering sample or something in the hands of a reviewer.

i stand by my recommendation to stay with SB.
