Friend needs a new computer, $2500 in Canada

Thread Starter
He was going for this: pre-built old tec crap Oh man. I wish I was there to build it for him.

I am thinking NCIX or something would be better, I know nothing of Cybertron. He needs a pre-built or mostly pre built. Budget is $2500 firm! including shipping and taxes. And before mail ins. I never count mail in for budget.

So what do we say? Sandy bridge is possible in a few days I think or AMD is fine, no real preference. I would have got an i5 myself bit sandy bridge sounds nice

He is outside of Toronto Canada. Not in any big city so shipping is needed.

Does 2500 include monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer, speakers, headphones, etc etc?

I recommend looking at some stores and compare/pricematch (if possible) to get the best pricing as possible.

NCIX
CanadaComputers
PCV Online
Infonec Computers
MemoryExpress
SwiftGamers
GreyTech
Tigerdirect (sometimes pricey, but they have good deals sometimes)

Here are some I can recommend (I work in one of them ).

if he is looking for prebuilt than i would not take anything other alienware

heres a quick link all he has to do is upgrade to what he want, i would not go for x6 core , keep the 930 stock and Oc it him self.

Can I give negative rep? Eww, Alienware! Dell is not bad, and if it were a laptop I would recommend and XPS but how are dell PC systems? And Dell.ca seems more then .com?

I'll get back to you soon on if 2500s include monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer, speakers, headphones, etc etc? Assume a monitor will be needed and a cheapish mouse keyboard combo, but no others.

Personnel bad experiences with Alienware...
Edit:And Dell is bad in my experiences, my mom got a laptop and it wasn't working like 5 years ago.We sent it back and that wasn't working and many other problems.I'm just assuming we had a really bad streak but still, c'mon!

Sorta. Built the same laptop system side by side on dell.com and dell.com/Alien. Alienware = $ $$3000$ and the dell was under $2000. Only difference was the ugly plastic on the Alienware.

Edit to your edit :
You know they are the same company now right. Dell has improved a lot in the last year or 2. 5 years is a lifetime in computer
