Edit to your edit :
You know they are the same company now right. Dell has improved a lot in the last year or 2. 5 years is a lifetime in computer
I know that, Dell bought Alienware out, that is the reason I hate it xD.
Plus when my friend got a Alienware computer, he has some bad luck too.
Hmm, I think I have bad luck D:.

Dell has improved? Seems like they've been declining for the past 5 years with that dumbass CEO.

I am thinking NCIX or something would be better, I know nothing of Cybertron. He needs a pre-built or mostly pre built. Budget is $2500 firm! including shipping and taxes. And before mail ins. I never count mail in for budget.

So what do we say? Sandy bridge is possible in a few days I think or AMD is fine, no real preference. I would have got an i5 myself bit sandy bridge sounds nice

He is outside of Toronto Canada. Not in any big city so shipping is needed.
Take NCIX and use shopbot.ca to make pricematches on NCIX.

Good luck with the build

My bad didnt read carefully that he needs a prebuilt PC , I would go with NCIX.

One last thing, will he be overclocking this computer? If so, to what degree? Additionally, what will he be using it for? Gaming or work, ie autocad/photoshop or something like that.

whats with the hate, he asked for prebuilt system ,

you will always have a difference in price and performance if you build it your self that is logical.

i hope all the spammers and negative post get removed

Make sure you unlock the 6950 to a 6970

Possible Changes:

-Swap 12GB of ram for 6GB
-Ditch Blu-Ray Burner
-Swap 800D for less expensive case (Recommended)
-Swap H50 for better air cooler
-Ditch SSD
-Ditch a hard drive if 2TB is enough
-Add second 6950 for Crossfire (Unlock to 6970)
-Swap Seasonic unit for a less expensive unit
-Swap AMD card for GTX570/GTX580
-Get a second kit of ram for 24GB
-Add second SSD for RAID0
-Swap C300 for 60GB Vertex 2 if you don't care about sequential speeds
-Ditch the H50 and the fans and just use the stock cooler if he will not be overclocking
-Add a second monitor for multitasking/eyefinity (Recommended)

The price should come out to exactly $2488.90 after taxes
Make any of the changes above if shipping tips you over budget.

Hope this helps.

Ok. Let me fill in a few blanks. Teach me to post quickly before lunch lol.

1: PhaedraCorruption gave me my avatar, we disagree but get along and think alike (I think). Other than my hate of over priced alien I think we are all good

2) I live in Taiwan. If I could build it for him I would and would love too. He may be able to install an HD or Vid card like thing, but a whole system is too much for him. And unlocking... Well lets say no on that for now.

3) he says he got a monitor, but if we can find a big one And I would like to get him a mechanical keyboard so only a mouse and speaker setup for gaming is needed.

His use is gaming and for university work. I am thinking the razor keyboard with blue switches would be good for him. But the rest just bang for buck middle range game playing gear is ok. So i5 not i7 sorta thing.

My big question I guess is i5, sandy bridge or AMD. Any thoughts about that?

I don't know what to say Drumheros, except perhaps reading the thread will help answer that question, or Geography classes
