Questions about sleeving a power supply

Thread Starter
1. Will it void my warranty(non modular PSU)
2. Will it cost over $35.00 to sleeve my whole PSU
3.Can I get some sleeving from Newegg?(I have a gift card).
4. Stuff like SATA cables I am fine with my current sleeving, just my 24pin, all molexes, 6 pin PCI-Es, 8 pin CPU etc.

Sounds good except for the first answer, could I just keep the black Corsair sleeving and put it on if I have to RMA?

But I mean PSUs don't seem to die often(just fans, which are replaceable if Corsair says no) so I'll do it.

What is UV blue and would it be worth not having LEDs in my system?

The color scheme I am going for is white, black, red and blue. I want to have white sleeving and a little red.

Frozencpu.com seems to sell sleeving for 59 cents(1/4th) is this the stuff I need?

Thanks!

You have to void the warranty seal to open the PSU to do a proper sleeving job.

I haven't done it before, so there's not much more advice I can offer.

Only if we can find a way to carefully raise the sticker without any damage.. we need to experiment this so we can still have warranty. O wait.. how can we? we'd have to sleeve it back lmao! I didn't realize that!

Huh, a cable sleeving article said it looks better if it goes into the PSU but you can still do it without going in.

Thanks!

You can make a decent job of it without opening the Power Supply itself up, if you want decent sleeving have a look on MDPC-X, best there is. It's not cheap, and you'd have to work out how much you needed, depending on what you sleeved, but it's worth it in the end.

Also, Corsair themselves said sleeving the PSU (as long as you don't open it I assume) won't void the warranty.

I just looked there, sleeving pricing looks fine but shipping is $12.00 to US(9 euros) Would 10M be enough for my PSU?
