ssd questions...

Thread Starter
1. Can I merge these 2 partitions without data loss and maintain alignment? If so how. This was the 100mb partition created on install, but I deleted it.

2. Benchmarks, are they worth wasting time with? Not sure what to make of these. The results have been all over the place (at least write speeds). Is it because the drive performs better when the data is written in a certain way? Mainly wondering if the write speeds are up to speed because they differ between benchmarks.

CrystalDiskMark (using 0 fill). Using default write speeds are ~50mb (same with AS SSD Benchmark).

1. No. NTFS does not allow merging 2 partitions. Neither does it allow expanding before start point X of partition A, it only allows expanding after end point Y of partition A.

2. I don't know what the exact cause is of the large differences between your results, but they can vary depending on which background processes are running. Although, for an SSD. That effect should be minimal.

EDIT : CrystalDiskMark cranks out some weird numbers on mine aswell.
