They appear very similar. The ASUS is a bit a bit brighter, but 1/2 an inch smaller. All in all I'd go for the ASUS, as you can turn the brightness down if need be.

Apparently your ASUS just sold out O_o ASUS is a great monitor brand though. Can you find something with a quicker response time? 5ms is so-so and ghosting may appear.

^ Ya, Asus is a great brand for them. I've had mine for a while now and the only thing wrong with it is a small white area in the middle when the screen is completely black, which I caused.

I've owned that Asus for a while now and like it, probably around 2 years. The calibration isn't the best out of the box though. An actual monitor calibrator would be best for the color profile on top of manual adjustment, but you should probably be able to get it reasonably close without it.
