Windows 7 install question

Thread Starter
Hi, have a couple of questions about going to windows 7. Currently I have an OEM of Vista 64 bit home premium which is basically a restore disk that I got from ibuypower when I bought my computer a while back. I want to go with windows 7 pro 64bit . Can I get away with buying an upgrade disk or do I have to buy the full version. What is the difference with those and a OEM system builders version? If I buy the upgrade can I wipe the HDD, install windows 7 and if I needed to revert back to vista?

thanks guys and gals

I have an "Upgrade" disk from lenovo, and i had linux installed and it still was able to install, so im not so sure if yours would work also.

But your best bet is to just buy a full copy.
they are only 100 dollars on newegg, and 130 for pro.

hint: if you are apart of a school, you can probably get it for either cheap, or free.
