Need Recommedations for new Cooler

Hi, I am looking for recommendations for an air cooler. I am currently using a CoolerMaster V8 on the signature rig. I used IC diamond thermal paste. I think I mess up while mounting the CPU cooler onto the motherboard that the temps on my CPU is pretty uneven.

If I am going to have to reseat the cooler, I do not want to try and install the V8 again. I think it hates cats. What other coolers would you guys recommend? On another note, I still have the half onion stock cooler that originally came with the cpu.

This one was from a previous build. One time, I saw this.

P.S. I also can't go to water cooling because in the winter, my room becomes 20-30 degrees where as in the summer, it can go to like 80. Basically, I was told that in the summer, water cooling becomes hot water flowing around.

How much are you willing to spend, and whoever told you that water cooling is bad in the summer is an idiot.
water cooling still beats air cooling even in the summer, it doesn't matter what your ambient temp is, water will win if the setup is good.

You could get a Hyper 212 with pushpull fans.

If you are willing to spend the extra cash a rasa kit would be amazing.

there is also a 360mm rad version for 150.

I have the 360 and it is truely amazing.

LOL, I actually have no prior experience in installing a liquid cooling system. I guess it's like my kitty cat brethren learning how to hunt mice when they are young? LOL !
I was thinking about about H50 or H70 simply because they were self contained. What do you think? Also, I have no limit to how much I can spend on a cooler; I just don't want any leaks because I am about to put a 580 amp! in this.

If you have no limit, go with liquid, skip the h50 and h70 they are crap and shouldn't be called water cooling.

go get one of the XSPC Rasa kits from frozencpu and have fun.
Leaks aren't an issue if you are smart and leak test and make sure everything is tight.

When you say temps are uneven, are you talking about the temperature difference in the cores? It's normal to have some variance there. I would suggest a Megahalems if you're looking for an air cooler; it looks awesome.

If you didn't like installing a CM heatsink, you would like installing a Mugen 2 even less.

With a HAF 932 you can fit a TR Archon, the best performing heatsink, especially with a second TY-140. It has the third-best mount, which seems reasonably easy to install.

Don't bother with the Silver Arrow, the second-best heatsink: you can fit an Archon. Same TR mount.

An option is the Noctua NH-D14, which trails the SA by just under 1c. A few dB louder than the SA, it has the best mount, dead easy to install and thoroughly secure.

Next level down are the VX, which shares itsmount with the SA and the Archon. Also, the Megahalems, with the second best mount. These can perform up with the best heatsinks, but to do so will cost you in fan noise.

But before you go buying a new heatsink, try improving the airflow in your case: a cooler is no better than the air flowing through it.
