Reached a wall

Hi, I have a AMD Phenom II x2 550, Callisto 45nm processor.

When looking around the forums, I have seen people get some pretty good clocks with it.

I however, cannot manage to get past 3.6 gh/z

My computer specs are

AMD Phenom II x2 550
Foxconn Destroyer mobo
9800 gtx+ graphics card
4 gigs of DDR2 ram (1066)

If I try to only use the ht multiplier I cannot get a stable 3.8

If I put my ram down to 800 mh/z then use the FB or a combination of FB and multiplier I also cannot get to 3.8 or above.

I tried increasing the memory timings but to no avail.

Even with the voltage at 1.5v I couldn't get a stable 3.8

Temps seemed fine (around 50c load) the entire time through also.

Anybody with this board or cpu got any tips for getting 3.8/3.9?

My ideal would be 3.9 but I'd settle for 3.8.

Every chip is different. Are you saying that using the multi to OC and you also set the voltage at 1.5 you cant get a stable 3.8? Try a little higher, dont worry about killing your cpu until youve hit around 60C.

Only try OCing with the multiplier. By raising your HT ref Clk it could be your CPUNB, HTlink or ram limiting your OC.

Search google for "amd unleash the dragon" and there is a guide.

Do you think increasing the "CPU HT Voltage" and the "Chipset Voltage" will allow me to go any higher?

edit : 1.5v doesn't seem to do the trick, 1.4 cpu ht voltage doesn't help either (even though it's red which I'm guessing is bad in my bios) and increasing the chipset voltage doesn't allow me to get a stable 3.7 even.

I'm about ready to give up on this.
