prime95 crashes / pc just shuts down without bsod

I'm trying to reach 4GHz on a 1090T. But after 5min my prime95 just closes. No error or anything, then things start acting wierd. Firefox crashes, steam showed popup msg in top corner in stead of the bottom. I'm now trying out 19x200 3.8GHz with ram at standard 1333mhz and HTlink 2000. NB 2400 and vcore is at 1.350. Another problem is pc just shutting down with no bluescreen. And wont power on unless I take the battery out for like 5 mins. Wth is wrong? (i have tried higher vcore)

Set V-Core to 1.47, CPU-NB to 1.3V, loosen up your memory timings

Sounds like a power supply getting pushed past its limit and the safe guard kicking in. What power supply do you have? Its not listed in your sig.

Its a bZerk 550w. Guess its no good ;s Can there be other reasons for shutdowns like this? It ran 10mins with vcore at 1350, no problems. Ended because I want more than 3.8GHz.

This issue screams power supply to me. I'm guessing that when you tired to push your chip that little extra bit that it pushed the power supply over the wattage threshold that is supports, therefore shutting itself down to prevent damage to your components.

If I were you, I would go out and get a quality power supply before I tried pushing your CPU again.

I have been looking at one of those corshair 750w. Guess I'll have to buy one of those asap. Or do you recomend any other psus? I'm saying 750 because I want to be able to crossfire my 6850s later.
