Sapphire Active DisplayPort to DVI Adapter for $30

Don't buy a $5 passive adapter.
But also don't blow $100+ on the older active DP to DVI adapters.

Here is a cheap single link active DP-->DVI solution for Eyefinity.
Works flawlessly with triple monitor Eyefinity at 3x 1440x900 (have not yet tested 3x 1920x1080).

Wanted to share this with all those who are looking for a cheap active DP-->DVI adapter that actually works.

Also, I've heard some say this won't work unless you have a Sapphire card. This isn't true, it works perfectly with my non-reference XFX 5850.

Fyi, those are the SINGLE LINK cheap adapters that AMD promised. Being single link they are only good upto 1080P.

If you have resolutions above 1080P you will obviously need the DUAL LINK ACTIVE adapter instead.

i'm assuming most Eyefinity users won't be using 3x 2560x1600 displays.
heck, i doubt most Eyefinity users are even 3x 1920x1080.
but for 3x1080p monitors, it's a great deal.
