Hi guys,

i recently bought a pair of 2GB mushkin ramsticks, heres the exact specs and stuff: http://www.prophecy.co.za/mushkin-99...3-p-85469.html

So i took my old 4GB kit out, and put the news ones in and got the bad memory code from my mobo, this is with the most updated version...

so they didnt work, tried all types of combinations, one stick, different slots, etc..

they still didnt work so i took the old ones and it worked -_- so why isnt it working? i rma'd them and they came back working fine??

Well, do you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard? Other than that, you may have just had some bad RAM since you RMAd it and you have replacement RAM working fine. This does happen from time to time.

I'm a fan of GSkill and have purchased their memory for years. Works great and overclocks like a champ. Great reviews on this stuff and I highly recommend it.

Okay, well see above, think that GSkill would work great for ya. It has worked in any board I've put it in. I dont use Mushkin cause I've had this same problem in the past with their product so I avoid it. Usually worse with their laptop SODIMMS, but I have seen the same problem. Usually can be fixed with a BIOS update. But since that hasn't done it for you then I'm not sure. I didnt find a memory compatibility data sheet on Intel's site for this board, but some boards dont favor all brands of memory so it could just be a compatiblility issue.
